In the context of Open Education, quality assessment tools are necessary. Speaking of  quality means quality assurance, quality audit and quality enhancement. In the Open Virtual Mobilty Erasmus + Project’s framework https://www.openvirtualmobility.eu/es_ES/, the quality assurance of OER is addressed through an iterative cycle of design, creation, implementation, and assessment, following the Design Based Research model (Barab & Squire, 2004).

Atenas and Havemann (2014) list a series of actions to identify resources to be taken into consideration such as choose resources already valued as high quality by peers, start a community discussion on a specific resource, use resources where keywords and metadata are clearly identified. In order to assess  each OER to include in the VM MOOC, partners of the IO6 developed a tool structured in three main indicators (Poce, Agrusti & Re 2015): 1. Quality; 2. Appropriateness; 3. Technical aspects. The webinar will present best practices developed in the Erasmus + Project OpenVM to search, select and assess OERs. In addition, the preliminary results of the pre-pilot phase will be presented.
