EDEN shares the news that Prof. Walter F. Kugemann passed away.

Professor Kugemann has been a pillar of the EDEN history, as well as a prominent member of the European open, distance and e-learning movement since its inception, both through his academic career at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität of Erlangen-Nürnberg and through his leadership in a number of European organisations such as the MENON Network and the European Foundation for Quality in eLearning. Walter will always be remembered for his bright thinking, creative ideas and commitment to the European project in the field of innovative and lifelong learning.

EDEN will gratefully keep his memory and intellectual legacy and pays tribute to his family.
