As prof. Josep M.Duart has finished his EDEN presidency (2021-2024) by passing it to prof. Wim Van Petegem on the occasion of EDEN Timisoara Research Workshop 2024 a token of appreciation was awarded to Josep M. Duart. Josep dedicated many years to EDEN organization in different roles. He served in the Executive Committee as member, as Vice-President, and eventually as President, since 2021. Josep M. Duart managed the successful transition from EDEN UK to what we call nowadays EDEN Digital Learning Europe. It was not an easy operation, but he implemented it with dedication, with patience, with trial and error, with focus, with passion, with wisdom, and always with a genuine concern for the organization and even more for the people involved. Above all, he has a warm and pleasant personality, always wanting to help, never giving up, enjoying life, kind and smiling. “Josep, we, as EDEN community, or better, as EDEN family, would like to thank you for all these years you have served as our President. Being your successor, I will have big shoes to fill, but I can build on your legacy, and that gives confidence. We wish you many years ahead, free of EDEN concerns, but full of other nice experiences, as an academic, as a politician, as a friend” – said EDEN president Wim Van Petegem. Josep M. Duart continues to serve at EDEN DLE Management Board.
