Watch all sessions now — EODLW 2025!

EDEN successfully concluded the 10th European Open and Digital Learning Week (EODLW), held last week under the theme “The Human–AI Partnership: Transforming Teaching and Learning.”

Organised in collaboration with the United States Distance Learning Association (USDLA) for National Distance Learning Week (NDLW), as well as FLANZ and ODLAA for the Asia-Pacific Online and Distance Education Week (APODE), this year’s edition brought together a truly global community of online and distance education professionals.

Across the week, participants explored how artificial intelligence can complement—rather than replace—the vital role of educators. Expert-led webinars and panel discussions highlighted practical strategies for using AI to support teaching, boost student engagement, and personalise learning, while also addressing key issues such as ethics, equity, trust, and the responsible use of AI in education.

This year’s EODLW featured six engaging sessions, with 7 moderators and 24 speakers, and welcomed 720 participants from more than 70 countries. Contributors shared best practices, research insights, and future-focused perspectives on how human expertise and AI technologies can work together to build more inclusive, effective, and future-ready learning environments. The largest number of participants joined from Croatia, and overall, the event was primarily represented by participants from the five most frequent countries: Croatia, Israel, Romania, Lithuania, and Portugal.

All session recordings are now available on the EDEN DLE YouTube channel, allowing the community to revisit the discussions and insights from this year’s event.
