EU eLearning Initiative – “Quality” Call

On 18 June 2003, at the EDEN 2003 Annual Conference held in Rhodes, Greece, the EUROPEAN eLEARNING QUALITY FORUM was launched during the Closing Plenary Session.
To join the Forum, please click here.

The project brings together, in a fundamental way, the companies in the e-learning industry who provide the tools and services, the users, the expert organizations and agencies. It is addressing the following issues:

  • Quality assessment, evaluation and conformance practice;
  • Cases of “good practice” and design guidelines;
  • Quality assurance frameworks (with criteria and standards).

The main activity of the project will be an inclusive and comprehensive analysis of the case for the development of a sustainable environment (eLearning Quality Forum + Laboratory) for e-Learning standards conformance and quality assurance. The environment will be based on the outcomes of a consensus-building exercise that will draw upon the various approaches to quality definition and quality assurance practice currently used by a broad range of stakeholders in education and training in the public and private sectors.
